The Companion / Development line
Yan shows up two ways. Both matter. They are priced separately because they are different things.
The Companion is Yan being present — at your assessment, during retests, quietly through the seven-day arrival course, in your weekly note, and any time you have a question about your profile. The Companion keeps your profile honest. Free includes the Companion.
Development is Yan being active — the daily rhythm, the Living Profile updating continuously, the longitudinal shift view, Yan as a working companion on what's live in your situation. Development is what you opt into when you want Yan as part of how you grow, not just how you began. Pro includes Development. Teams members get Development for the life of their seat.
The clean test: does Yan accumulate with you, or respond to you in the moment? Free gets the moment. Pro and Teams members get the accumulation.
Is Anyan really free forever?
Yes. Every individual gets full access permanently. No trial clock, no card required at sign-up, no expiry, no downgrade. The assessment, your Living Profile, the Companion, the seven-day arrival course, quarterly retests, export, and the shareable card are all included. Always.
What does my Free profile actually do between assessments?
It stays still. Your Free profile updates when you take a new assessment — every 90 days. Between assessments, the shape doesn't change. Yan is available to answer questions about your profile, but doesn't track or accumulate. That accumulation is what Pro adds.
Are Circles really free?
Yes. Creating and joining Circles is free for everyone. A Circle is co-owned by every member — no single owner, no inheritance drama. When the last member leaves, the Circle ends. You see each other's energy shapes side by side, and each Circle gets a short, shareable observation of the blend you make together.
What does Pro add over Free?
Pro adds Development — open conversation with Yan, the daily email rhythm, the continuously-updating Living Profile, the longitudinal shift view, and the ability to reply to your weekly note and ask Yan inside your Circles. Free is "the picture, shared." Pro is "the relationship, deepening."
Can I be in lots of Circles without paying?
Yes. Creating and joining Circles is always free — you can be in as many as you like. Co-ownership means once you're in a Circle, you have the same rights as anyone else who's in it. (Asking Yan inside a Circle is a Pro feature; reading what others have asked is open to everyone.)
What's the difference between a Circle and a Team?
Circles are for the groups in your life that don't have a boss — couples, families, book clubs, walking groups. Teams are for groups that have a leader and an operational cadence — workplaces, sports teams, committees, clubs with coaches. Teams come with check-ins, a regular readback rhythm, and the 32-dimension functional picture. The clean test: is there someone whose job is to steer this group? If yes, Teams. If no, Circles.
Do team members of a Teams customer pay anything?
No. Teams seats are paid centrally by the organisation. Every team member joins free and gets full Pro-equivalent access for the life of the seat — daily emails, continuously-updating profile, the development relationship with Yan, plus everything in the free tier.
What happens if I'm on Pro and then join a Team?
Your Team seat duplicates the personal subscription — we'll prompt you in-app to cancel the personal one (it ends at the period end so you don't lose a partial month). You can also keep both if you'd rather — some people want the continuity in case they leave the Team. We never auto-cancel.
What happens to my Circles if I cancel?
Your Circles continue. Co-ownership means a Circle exists for as long as anyone is in it — your subscription ending doesn't end the Circles you helped create. If you cancel and stay in Circles other people are in too, you stay in those Circles. Your personal Living Profile is preserved at Free.
Is there a charity rate?
Yes — registered charities and not-for-profits get a 40% discount, and we'll match you with an accredited Anyan Partner who'll help you get started.
